Community Conservation
Africa is a fragile continent. Her ecosystems and wildlife have co-existed with man for thousands of years, but now development and urbanization threaten the delicate balance. Concerted conservation efforts by the tourism industry have made a difference, improving the region's prospects.
Danny McCallum Safaris is committed to supporting the government of Tanzania in its endeavours to protect the flora and fauna of this country for future generations. The Bernardus Wildlife Conservation Fund (BWCF) was formed to promote wildlife and habitat conservation in Tanzania by involving the people residing in villages surrounding our hunting areas. You, as our hunting clients, contribute directly to BWCF and the funds are used to support the communities through projects of their choice such as the building of schools, village offices, medical dispensaries and water wells in addition to sponsoring a number of students at schools and colleges in Tanzania. BWCF supports Tanzania’s Wildlife Division in anti-poaching operations throughout the year. The same funds are used to provide transport and manpower for these anti-poaching exercises. We thank you for your support.
